Today was mommy’s first day back to work.  Granna was scheduled to watch Adalyn but was unexpectedly called in for jury duty.  🙁  So, it was up to good ‘ol Dad to take care of Addy.  Here’s her initial reaction to hearing the news:

Look who was being cheeky during her bath.  Every time that water got near her face she tried to drink it.  Silly girl. 🙂

3 months!  We can hardly believe it.  Addy has grown so much these past few weeks.  With each day our love grows with her.  We’re so proud.

Addy was obviously entertained by Uncle Cameron’s shenanigans.

 

Usually when I get home from work Addy is a happy camper.  She’s just been fed and is still on that “milk high.”  So, I scoop her up in my arms, walk her around the house looking out all the different windows, then lay her down on the couch and “talk” to her.  Today she was in an especially chatty mood.  I think she was describing the exciting day she and her mom had.  I hear they even went for a walk around the block.  I love that she’s started cooing and smiling.  Kayla did a great job at catching some of Addy’s expressions while I conversed with her.

The way Kayla naturally picks up on how to be a Mom never ceases to amaze me.  While I’m fumbling around with blankets, diapers, and bottles, she handles every situation with beauty, grace, patience, and love.  Addy and I are the luckiest people on the planet.
