Captain Ask Video Frame

Here’s a precious frame from the Captain ask videos we shot tonight.  Choate Construction has invited us back as their Cystic Fibrosis ambassador family for 2016.  We feel so honored to be a part of their fundraising efforts.  They really do put their heart and soul behind this campaign.  How could we say no?!  More importantly, how can any of their potential team captains say no to this sweet face?!  🙂

Thanks again to our special Choate family.  We feel so lucky to have such kind and caring people in Adalyn’s corner.

A Sprinkle of Hope

Last night I had the pleasure of visiting a fellow CF family, the Sprinkle’s.  I was on official CF business but couldn’t help but feel at home with such warm and inviting people.  Erin, mother of Caleb (5) and Joshua (9) welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like we were old friends.  I was there to film a few “Thank You” videos featuring Erin and Caleb that will be sent out to the Sponsors and Supporters of a few different CF Fundraising events.  It’s all very hush hush right now, but I can’t wait to release the finished product for everyone to see.  Erin and the boys were total rockstars.  I couldn’t have asked for better people to represent this cause and make my job of filming this project so easy.  Big shout out goes to the Sprinkles!  Thanks again and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for our families.  Here is a still from one of the video clips I captured of Caleb during his vest treatment.  Look at this kid!  How cute is he?!

Thank You Choate BTS

Happy Valentine’s Day everybody! After we took the kids to The Children’s Museum of Atlanta we had a quick photo shoot for a Re-Introduction/Thank You card we’re making for our Choate Construction family. We’re super excited and grateful to have been asked to be Choate Construction’s CF ambassador family again! Choate has played a huge role year after year in the fundraising efforts during the CF Great Strides campaign and we can’t wait to help be a part of it again this year. I won’t post the final photo we used for the card (yet). But here is a quick behind-the-scenes shot I took of Adalyn. Oh and of course Hunter wasn’t far from all the action. He just wouldn’t stay still long enough for a proper photo. Oh well. 🙂

The Vest Blown Look

We certainly do not condone playing around with medical equipment.  It’s immature, irresponsible, and can be down right dangerous.  But it does make for some good pictures!  Seriously though, these shots were totally by chance.  I just happened to have been taking pictures of Adalyn during her vest treatment when, as sometimes it happens, one of the air compression tubes popped out of the vest.  I MAY have taken the time to snap a few photos of the shenanigans that ensued before fixing said situation and for that I hold my head in shame.  But, come on!  Look at these pictures!  Priceless!

CF Tidbit: Adalyn endures a 30 minute vest treatment twice a day.  The vest vibrates at a high frequency to loosen any sticky mucus caught in the lungs.

Great Strides

This year Great Strides Atlanta helped raise $1,660,000.00!!!  A record breaking year.  A HUGE thank you to all of you who donated in Adalyn’s honor.  It means the world to our family and the thousands of other people with Cystic Fibrosis.  Adalyn’s reaction to the number:

Pseudomonas Free

Great news everybody!  We received a call yesterday with the results of Adalyn’s throat culture.  We’re SUPER excited to announce that Adalyn is Pseudomonas free!  Not only that but the test revealed there was NO bacteria growth, Pseudomonas or otherwise, and Adalyn is as healthy as can be.  As you can imagine, our vacation immediately got ten times better.  As a matter of fact we’re still partying.  🙂  BIG thanks to all those that have been thinking and praying for Addy.  Your support means the world to us.  Here’s Adalyn working on her wink and thumbs up combo.
