There are only a couple windows of opportunity I can snag a few pictures of Hunter while he’s awake during the day.  Otherwise he’s eating, sleeping, or getting changed.  Ah, the life of a newborn…

Not exactly a smile…but at least a little more animated than the previous bunch of images.  🙂

Look who’s discovered a love for pen and paper.

Adalyn is loving her role as big sister.  Whenever Hunter is around she is always by his side.  She’ll hold his little hand, tickle his tiny feet, and give him the sweetest kisses on his head.  Any time Hunter cries out she’ll run to wherever he is and say “What wong baby bwother?”  Too cute.

Kayla had her weekly OB appointment today.  She is still 1cm dilated but is having mucho contractions!  As a matter of fact Kayla about crushed my hand while we watched Ender’s Game during our date night on Saturday (btw, the book is umpteen times better than the movie, thanks audible).  The Dr. said if baby boy hasn’t come on his own by Monday (the 25th) then they will induce.  Ready or not, baby boy will be here soon!  We’re super excited and we just can’t wait to meet the little guy.  We’re still trying to nail down a name but, like his big sister, we want to get a good look at him before we actually pick one.

 

Kayla had her weekly checkup today.  The Dr. confirmed that Mommy is still about 1cm dilated but she can now feel baby boy’s head.  It’s funny how many things you can get done when faced with the crazy sense of urgency Kayla and I are feeling.  But, we’re glad baby boy is hanging tight and giving us at least a few more days to get more items checked off our to-do list before the big day.  One of which are belly pictures!  We simply grabbed the camera and headed out to the backyard for a few quick images.  Luckily, Daddy had assembled Adalyn’s toddler slide given to us by family (Thanks Philip and Susie) which kept her busy while we took the pictures below.  Of course she eventually wondered what we were doing and decided she wanted to be in them as well.  🙂
